Work Assessment System

The Sapphire (TM) Work Assessment System is a computer-interactive, multimedia, multi-language system that provides the tools necessary for a comprehensive human performance test of physical demands as it is related to common employment-based physical demands. The focus on employment and worksite job standards sets us apart from clinical or medical testing which focuses on the details of individual joints and muscles. Where clinical based testing asks the question "can this elbow bend well?", our systems helps our customers answer the question "can this person do the job?".

Our complete comprehensive system tests: single-hand and both-hand dynamic lifting and carrying, both-hand static pushing-pulling-lifting, work while bending and reaching at various heights, single hand static grip and pinch strength as well as forearm and wrist pronation-supination and flexion-extension strengths, and finger and hand dexterity.

The system is modular to enable customized use where, for example, only upper extremity testing is desired, or where only static and dynamic whole body strength testing is desired.

Custom Devices

Custom devices can be created to meet specialized needs. For example, a 3-handed static strength device was made for a special project for The Netherlands to allow a single device to test both-hand and single-hand static pushing, pulling and lifting with custom protocols.

Private Licensing
